"This is not the review I planned on writing and honestly I should’ve written one over a year ago. I came to see Matt in May of 2024 following a second back injury. Doctors had wanted to perform a second, more extensive surgery and I wanted to try and avoid it. I worked with Matt for 5 months. We succeeded, no surgery, but the benefits didn’t end there. He works 1:1 with his patients, and not doing just the typical stretching and PT routines. He focused on strengthening not only my back and core but also focused on single leg strength. I’ll admit the workouts were sometimes brutal and I didn’t think I could do them, but he reassured me, pushed me and I always felt safe in his care. I continued following his plan after we ended our PT sessions. Fast forward 14 months and I have just shattered my ankle in 3 places. I have 14 screws and 2 plates now to stabilize the joint. Had it not been for Matt and our sessions last summer I would NOT be able to get through this injury like I am. I only have one working leg currently as I cannot bear weight on the other. I can get up and down from chairs easily, (think pistol squats), I can support my entire body with my arms and lift my 7lb casted leg on and off the bed/couch with ease. So, this Thanksgiving week, I am thankful for Matt and his care for the entire person. It will probably be a few months from now, but I will be back to put in the work again."
